Honestly, he wasn't my candidate, I voted for a different politician with much hope that my candidate will win. To a lot of people's disappointment and mine, our candidate didn't win. Instead, President Aquino won. Nevertheless, I was optimistic that he'll, at least, do his part and keeps his promise in his first SONA.
Kagalang-galang Benigno S. Aquino III
Pangulo ng Pilipinas
Now, a year has passed, but I certainly haven't seen a lot of changes yet. As pointed by his critics, the no "WangWang" policy is the only one that has succeeded (with the hope that everybody is following this rule).
The wisest thing, in my opinion, that he has done is appointing Secretary Mar Roxas. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would agree to that that he needs the secretary.
The President has 5 more years to prove himself that he is definitely the People's Choice. I hope he axes ineffective cabinet members, advisers and other appointed staff from their position and replace them with people who are more able. I hope he stops making promises that are too big to achieve and start with those that can easily be attained but would lead the Philippines into a bigger and better status.
I also hope that he brings back the Holiday Economy for Tourism (Let's face it, that was the best thing PGMA did.). It will definitely give the Filipino citizens time to appreciate the Philippines more, what with promo tickets available every now and then.
Well, I'm still wishing that after PNoy's term, the Philippines will be in a better state when it is after a year.
So, what do you think is the rating of PNoy after a year?
