updated: Ayala Cinemas: Sure seat

It's been a long time since I last made an entry and I must say that I had become a little bit unfamiliar with blogging already. Thanks to the blocked internet access during work (sarcastic tone).

Anyway, along with the unfamiliarity of the blog which I almost forgot, I had the chance just today to make an online transaction, ticket purchase and seat reservation, to watch a movie at Abreeza Cinema. And because of the easy transaction that we did 10 minutes ago, we're going to watch Ice Age 4 today at 2:45 PM.

To do an online purchase, you can simply go to Sureseats webpage, register/login into your account, choose which cinema and do a purchase. Once you have done that, you can print your ticket, present it to the cinema and watch the show.

However, if you don't have a printer nearby, you can simply take a photo of the ticket by using your cellphone or camera and present it to the ticket counter. Make sure that the photo is clear and the characters are readable. My uncle has done this before and it's valid even without the hard copy of the ticket.

Aside from that, Sureseats has made their website cool so that you can add friends and make a status.

So if you're thinking of all the hassles when you buy a ticket where blockbuster movies are being shown, just remember that you can stay away from long queues by doing a purchase online.

By the way, here is a photo of the online confirmation after buying a movie ticket. This is also the photo that I presented to the ticket collector before entering the cinema.

Christmas countdown: Bethlehemian Rhapsody

When I was young, I used to love puppets. I'm pretty sure majority of us went through that stage as well. The Muppets were really famous back then.

In this generation, although The Muppets had long been out of the circulation, off from TV shows, new characters had emerged.

For Christmas countdown, let me share this video (saw this on a friend's fb page) from youtube of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, the Bethlehemian Rhapsody.

Countdown is 19 days before Christmas. An advance Merry Christmas everyone!

3D Movie at Ayala Abreeza

I had my first 3D experience at Ayala Abreeza Mall in Davao just this Thursday, when the last half of the 7th book of Harry Potter premiered, the final sequel of the series. I must say, it was an amazing experience to watch it on 3D.

Well, the technology wasn't really that new anymore since there are TV manufacturers who has already featured their 3D television sets in their stalls long before the cinemas opened here in Davao. Basically, I had a glimpse of what a 3D movie looks like and how it works but I didn't have the benefit of watching a whole movie on 3D screens.

(This photo is not mine and is taken from the web only.)

(This photo is not mine and is taken from the web only.)

3D Cinemas here in Davao ranges from Php 200.00 to Php 300.00 pesos, 3D glasses are already included in the cinema fee. Ordinary cinemas, on the other hand, ranges from Php 95.00 to Php 150.00.

Ayala Abreeza 3D cinema, which is fully equipped with Dolby Surround Sound System, is pretty small but what's good about it is that you can buy tickets at an earlier date to choose which seat placement you prefer. Pregnant women and handicapped movie goers have a special area for their seat.

As for the food, Taters Davao, which is owned by 2 of my friends in Davao, is already available in Ayala Abreeza. And what's cool about Taters? Well, they deliver food inside the cinemas. Just give them the cinema number and your seat number and they'll deliver the food in no time.

While waiting for the movie to start, just in front of Taters is Timezone where you and your kids can have fun.

Anne Curtis' ride to Kylie Minogue's concert

I had always liked Anne Curtis. She has one of the prettiest faces in Philippine showbiz actresses.

Anyway, she's trending last night on Twitter after she posted a photo of her riding the MRT to Kylie Minogue's concert straight from the airport after arriving from a vacation in Australia.

After she posted this photo on her twitter account, I like her even better just for the fact that she's not "maarte".

Super Mario's should be ending

I think majority of us, specially those who were born in the Super Mario era, became addicted to the game.

It's swell for me that Super Mario ended up saving the princess, anyway, that's how it's supposed to be. But creative minds made a different ending with a change of the villains' plan. Watch the video courtesy of Machinima's youtube uploads.

Plus another video on the Real Life Super Mario, also by Machinima:

Big Apple

We have the chance to hang out at the Big Apple Hotel's Bar, located at Mamay Road Davao City, area a month ago since we were invited by my husband's sister. Apparently, the owner of of the hotel is a friend of my sister-in-law.

We spent mostly at the bar but I had the chance to take a picture of their lobby when I inquired at the reception area.

The bar area has a separate entrance. This is a picture of Big Apple Bar. They serve drinks at reasonable prices, bucket drinks are also available. They also have Karaoke available for guests who love to sing.

Inside the Bar, they have a stage for live performers. We were lucky enough to catch one on a Saturday Night where the performers were doing acoustic songs.

Since there were only a few guests during the early part of the night, we had the chance to jam with the performers.

I was supposed to get a couple of pictures of their suites, but apparently, wasn't able to since nobody was available to guide me to their rooms.

For the official website of Big Apple Hotel, visit http://www.thebigapplehotel.com/home and check out for room rates and promotions.

Just in case you wanted to inquire via email or telephone for room rates, reservations and others, their contact informations are the following:
Well, I'm hoping that I can get a couple of pictures of their suites one of these days. I'll keep you posted.

PGT!

Did you tune in to the grand finals of Pilipinas Got Talent over the weekend? I think majority did. However, I wasn't able to since we had a family affair at that time.

Just over lunch, my officemates were discussing on how their bet and majority of the people's bet, Marcelito Pomoy, performed during the championship. He sang, according to them, the song "The Prayer" (this is one of my all time favorite song).

Well, since I haven't seen him perform on TV, I had to watch a replay, thanks to the video uploaders over Youtube, of course.

Anyway, here is the video of Marcelito Pomoy and his version of "The Prayer", the song that gave him PGT's Season 2 Championship title.

Congratulations Marcelito Pomoy! You did it brilliantly! *applause*

Ready for the weekend!

It's the twins' birthday on Monday, yey!! But, we'll be doing a little family celebration a day early, which is a Sunday, as they're turning 9 this year.

Since they'll be staying home on a Saturday while their papa and I have work, I bought a few DVDs, everything second hand, for them. Although I'm sure they'll prefer running outside than be a couch potato, thank God I have active kids who liked playing and going home sweaty over video games.

But then again, I'm sure they'll be watching a couple of these movies and be happy with 'em.

Happy weekend all!
