(updated) June 28's Flashflood

I was already at home when it rained last night. I didn't really mind it at all although there were occasional lightning and thunder, the rain that poured was heavy but somehow it was quick.

When I woke up this morning and turned on the TV, our normal routine, to tune in to the early morning news show, we were devastated by the reports of flashflood at Matina, Matina Pangi, Matina Aplaya and Bangkal. Normally, eventhough how heavy the rains are, we rarely hear reports of water rising at the river near Matina Area.

To this hour, it was already confirmed that 15 people were found dead, most of them are children, while there are rising reports of missing people. Cars were washed out. Homes were destroyed. Trees fell. Bridge cracked.

Here are some photos taken by Joemar Lamata, for his complete collection of the flashflood, you can proceed to these links.

  • ABS-CBN Davao: 296-1911
I am hoping and praying that there will be no more casualties and calamities alike.

Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing
several weeks of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any methods to prevent hackers?
