Catching Up..

I was so glad that my childhood friends went to our tiny home last week, 6th of January to be exact.. We used to be neighbors back then, back when we were still innocent enough to have lice in our hair and swim in a man-made "lake" and canal.. Canals were literally clean back then..

Anyway, we just missed a friend who wasn't able to come, Inday Roca, since she's now based in Manila.. and the other friend, which I honestly forgot to inform, Neneng Planco Sialana..

But, nevertheless, I'm glad that we had a bit of catching up.. Maricris CasiƱo is now dating someone and I think is going steady already with him.. We haven't met her boyfriend, Herb, yet.. But, I'm happy that she's happy and shares the same faith with him.. that's what's important..

Nining Lim, on the other hand, has another baby, another addition to her family, a boy.. he's really adorable and cute.. and, she's back to her old figure..

Anyway, we still are planning for another get together, hopefully, everyone will be able to attend this time..

Thank you God for childhood friends, they're literally genuine and a keepsake..

Rainy days and Wednesdays..

Crazy weather we have here, as we were supposed to enjoy a cold and rainy season sometime December but we had the opposite since it was hot and humid with not too much rain..

January came and we had a series of days that's raining, I think today is the 4th or 5th, if I'm not mistaken.. and, I'm not complaining, nah-uh.. I love rains.. I love the cold weather, the cold breeze.. I love how I make myself comfy under a pile of sheets and sleep close to my hubby to make it more comfortable..

My youngest brother, Dave, gave me a "pet name", a frogmel (a frog and a camel combined), for loving the rain and drinking too much water.. and when it rains, they know I'm in a state of euphoria, no kidding.. :)

The photo above, as you can see, is a distant shot of Mount Apo.. I already zoomed my camera to the nth level just to focus the peak surrounded with clouds.. I would love to reach the peak someday.. Anyway, while I was taking the picture, there was a light rain shower.. and that made my day today.. :)

Here's to more rainy days.. I sure hope this summer won't be as cruel as the last one.. *fingers crossed*..

Happy New Year

a happy new year to everyone.. and.. we surpassed another decade..

let's say we're off to another fresh start this year, considering we just ended another 10 years..

and, yey! we finally have a picture to hang on our wall.. cool huh? we had it taken on mom's birthday.. plus.. these aren't the only pictures that we got.. we have a couple more..

How was everyone's new year, so far?

We spent it at mom's after we had our family dinner on the 31st, which was also mom's 62nd birthday.. watched TV, waiting for the countdown, and after the countdown, went to sleep.. nothing fancy since Davao City has been free from fireworks and firecrackers for plenty of years now, making it 100% free from firecracker injuries after they started banning them..

Looking back to the year that was, which was fantastic to us, I had a lot of things to be thankful for.. family, friends, our current status and God, most of all..

I'm pretty sure 2011 will be a fantastic year also, God will make it a great year for everyone..

So, Cheers to the new year!

Bye 2010.. Hello 2011..

Last day of work for the year 2010..

Almost ready, emotionally, even with a hangover from this year, to officially say goodbye to 2010 and welcome 2011..

So, anyone out there prepping up for their "so-called" New Year's Resolution?

Well, this year, I won't be meddling too much time thinking and listing down resolutions that I will break in 2011.. Nah-uh..

But still, since it has been a tradition for people to do a list for the New Year, I listed a couple or so that I think I can religiously keep..

Firstly, extended patience and time with my children.. 2010 has been a busy year at work, my shift is from 8 am to 7 pm.. and being one of the staff in the operations department, we can't just file a leave of absence at any time we want to.. Anyway, I hope I can keep up with my kids' list of activities this year, meaning, attending them and being with them on various occasions where they would need me.. As for patience, I will defo try to smile and understand them even if it means that they bombard me with their curious questions, every now and then, repeating them over and over again, not to mention their being playful at certain times..

Secondly, time for God.. eversince we transferred to our new home, we had been going to Church more often already.. that's a good start.. and I'm keeping my fingers crossed this time, that we make it a regular family day on Sundays by going to mass together as a family..

Thirdly, learn to cook.. I know this will be a tough one for me since my hubby does the cooking at home.. Honestly, I'm pretty scared getting burned with hot oil.. and admitting the fact that I'm no good a cook.. But yet again, I will definitely try to learn to cook a few dishes.. and maybe, I'll get the hang of it.. *smiles*

So, basically, these are the top ones that I think I can actually keep.. *fingers crossed*

Anyhow, here's to a prosperous New Year to everyone and let's claim it that God will bless us more each day.. Cheers!

2010 memories..

Christmas went by just like an ordinary day, no fancy celebrations, no street parties, no fireworks, etc..

Tata, my hubby, and I decided to put a little food on the table for Noche Buena in celebration with the birthday of Jesus Christ plus thanksgiving for the blessings we received this year, big and small..

Another year is coming to an end.. Hence, the countdown to New Year begins after Christmas..

Here are a few blessings this year that made a big impact in my life..

First and foremost, we transferred to our new home after the automated May elections, which was a first in the Philippines.. Anyway, our home is not big yet cozy and we couldn't thank God enough for making our little home happy..

Tata doesn't get too much mood swings after we transferred and that is one thing I'm thankful for.. not to mention, our family being healthy always.. Sure we had minor ailments but nothing major, so, thank you God for that..

And luckily, we have neat neighbors and I can say that our neighborhood is sort of quiet but we see a lot of friendly faces around the subdivision..

Our little home is facing east, I sure hope the moon and stars will bring us luck in that position, although I don't really believe in them, plus we get a lot of gentle breeze.. :)

My kids has finally received the body of Jesus Christ, their first communion, last November.. and I am one proud momma as I watch them, together with the other parents, all throughout the ceremony..

My kids are growing up so fast and I hope I can catch up with them even if it meant that I go breathless.. :)

Nevertheless, they never fail to make me happy eventhough at times, my patience with them is over the edge already..

I thank God, most of all, for giving me patience eventhough it's literally, stretched already..

We had our share of fun also this year.. I travelled twice..

First one was in February, as it was a gift from Uncle Boy, my Boss..

The trip was for free, for the whole family, from the tickets, to the accommodation which was at their Condo unit at Greenbelt and, not to forget, the pocket money..

The second out of town trip I had was with mom and my siblings.. We went to Hongkong for a vacay, children-less.. That was one vacation where I get to relax, being away from work for a week plus the priceless alone time with my family.. and it was splendid.. yet, it would have been more perfect if Dad was there.. :(

My youngest son is now going to school, his first year this year..

and I'm sooo proud of him, that eventhough how crooked his handwriting is, it never fails to make me smile, from ear to ear, when he shows me his patience in learning to do the things I tell him to do..

Although at times, he runs out of patience to do school stuff and even if he makes a canvass out of our wall sometimes, he still finds time to impress me with his grades in school.. and, I got one smart kid in addition to the two..

More often than not, I get financial constraints since we had a lot of bills to pay now: home mortgage, electricity, water, tuition fee, groceries, etc.. but yet again, the Big Guy up there has blessed our small family with good things, if there are bad, lessons to learn from..

now, What more can I ask for?

It's Christmas again

It's 4 days before Christmas, Jesus' birthday..

I love Christmas, I feel like I'm 6 again..

This is our first Christmas at our new home.. my kids are ecstatic to spend it with their new found friends.. our subdivision officers had already facilitated our first party together with new neighbors and new friends..

This year's Christmas is a whole lot different than the previous ones.. For one, mom and my 2 siblings are going to spend theirs in Cebu, for a change.. Benny, on the other hand, will be spending his at Mati with his family.. While us, we're going to stay home and enjoy every minute with our own little family..

Amidst the joyous occasion, being the birth of Christ, I couldn't help but be sad that a previous colleague who's a friend passed away..

Nevertheless, life goes on..

and.. I'm thankful for the fruitful year as we're blessed with a lot of good things in 2010.. Thank you Lord for that.. and.. we're excited with 2011!!

I'm back

Oh hey..

It's been 2 years since my last post here..
I had been too much preoccupied with work lately and I can't get away from it..
Facebook has become a fad in the company and locally, it's trending that instead of doing an entry, I diverted into checking out friends with new photos and new statuses..
I had become addicted to several Facebook applications before but eventually grew tired of it..
my latest hobby is to download mobile ebooks and read to my heart's content after work..
It's something that refreshes my spirit up on a tired day..
Also, I am into a new not-so-big business venture, working my way on the ladder..
I sure hope everything will come out the way I dreamt it to be..

My kids are growing already..
the 3 of them are in school..
The eldest, the twins, are in Grade 2 while my youngest is in Kinder 1..
Time flies sooo fast indeed..
It was as if I conceived them yesterday.. only to find out that they're 8 and 5 respectively..
It's a good thing though, that they're still the same 'malambing' sons as they were before..
They're more curious this time as they grow older and at times, threw different questions at me..
In a way, I find it difficult to answer when it becomes too intense, I'm pretty sure a lot of mommies can relate to what I'm trying to say..

We got us a new home, yey!
We relocated and find it very nice and comfy at our new home..
the neighborhood is really quiet, the subdivision is not too big, only a few are living in our area..
We love the breeze there, it's really windy at 3 PM onwards..
The kids play with their friends who lives in the neighborhood..
and they adore outdoor sports.. Basketball, biking, walking, running around, you know..

Anyway, so much for the missed entries..
I'll try harder to update more..

Christmas Slipping By..

After the short Christmas break, now comes work..

Work na naman!!! Ano ba yan?!

Well.. Honestly, if it hadn't been for this so-called job description at my Uncle's Box Plant, I wouldn't be this comfortable..

So, nevertheless, complaining about work stuff won't get me anywhere.. nyahahhaa..

Pasabut, I have to live by it..

Okay.. Okay..

Uncle, I'm not complaining at all.. Even Sunday duties are swell..!! *grinding teeth*.. Just don't make it a habit lang.. hahahahhahaa..

hmm..

Can't wait for the New Year's break though.. That would eventually happen on the 31st of December until January 4..

I'm keeping my little fingers crossed that there won't be anyone who would call me to remind me I have to report to work tomorrow.. Just this Holiday break please!!!!

hahahaha..

I would be ultimately happy for the short break after the 4 days 7 to 7 operation in DAVCOR.. Well, a free lunch is a + + factor already.. So, I guess, it's not so bad after all.. nyhahahhaa..

Plus, my aunts from manila are here! yey!!

after 10 years of not seeing them, finally, I get to bond with them even for a short time..

Wow.. time travel so fast.. I have to hold on to it, otherwise, I might be missing a lot of things.. Letting all the good stuff slip by would be such a waste..

Okay Okay! I'm not complaining.. Who says I'm complaining with the work I had been assigned to??

Uh-uh..

Although, there are a few stuff that I would be really grateful for if things were to change slightly.. *wink* *wink*..

oh, you wanna know?? nah.. I'll just probably keep it to myself for now..

Until such time that everything will come out of the foggy field.. nyahhaha..

happy new year!

xss.. oh yeah, which reminds me.. My aunts can't get enough of my kids.. everytime they would see them, they'd go on blabbing who's more handsome, who's more chinese looking, who's who.. those kind of stuff.. Like you know.. of course the proud momma is grinning from ear to ear when she hears that.. The doting a-ma also feels proud to tell them that she adores Shoti the most.. naks naman!

hahahahhaha..

12.10.2008

I am 32..

Okay..

Let's just face it..

Time is catching up really fast..

It was just a few months back, now I'm 32.. As if naman, murag yesterday lang ko nag 31.. hahahaha..

So, it has been a year since I had my 31st birthday.. I feel kinda excited to be out of the calendar na..

-- "Jenn and Dave, too bad, your teasing didn't really get into my nerves.. *wink*.. Anyway, I do think naman, my answer to your statement was purely nosebleed for a nurse and an IT.. I very well know you couldn't relate on the statistics, derivations, integrations, math equations, you know.. hahaha.. don't you think so? hehehe.."

So anyway, I am going to spend my day at home, yey! I had filed a vacation leave, even if I'm not supposed to.. considering the work that I have to face, but nevertheless, a day out of the office wouldn't hurt that bad for the company at all.. E, I doubt it if I'm really useful pa at this moment in time.. Am I, dear managements?

I would want to go to church, Thank God for giving me a fruitful whole year round.. There are ups and downs and blessing in disguises.. It wasn't at all that smooth, but, I think I can keep up to the beat.. Matud nila, go with the flow, dance with the music.. Ana lang gyud tingali..

I wanted to watch twilight, is the movie still showing in the cinema? and Eat a really huge cheesy popcorn, yum yum yum, delicioso, according to Diego, my son's favorite character.. Remember Dora the Explorer's cousin? Well, everytime the cartoon pops up, Shoti would yell, yey, Diego!

Hmm.. Probably, I'd window shop the whole afternoon.. I'll be looking for gifts for my little inaanaks.. My exchange gift worth Php 200.00 and up.. and clothes for myself.. weee..

Finally! Makapalit na gyud ko ug something for me.. I hope.. *fingers crossed* still..

I hope it would be a hassle free day.. Away from stress and the hectic time tables.. From the unanswerable queries floating in my head, overtime..

I hope it would rain.. I always am wishing for the rain to come.. Judith and Gima nga, my boss and co-Laboratory Analyst in LFC, would really smile at me when the rain pours.. They know I love the rain..

Last year, I prayed for the rain.. Little did I know, it took 3 days for the rain to stop.. The girls nga were teasing me that I should be more specific next time if I wish for another rain.. Baka, it would be typhoon already, at di na simpleng rain lang.. hahaha..

E, God naman has been generous to me.. and I was hoping He'd be extra extra generous this time..

-- "You know Lord, what I had been wishing for so long now.. I hope I'd get it this time.. No amount of material thing would really compensate the happiness that I would feel and my family would feel if it happens.. Sana, he'll be home this Christmas.. Sana.. Pasensya nga pala for the overly stupid mistakes that I had made in my life.. what's good lang is that I had learned a lot from being stupid.."

-- "Uy diay, Dionnafe, happy birthday to us.. As I had been telling my friends "always" Gigi for the questions that they throw at me with regards to my age is that AGE IS JUST A MATHEMATICAL EXPRESSION WHICH WENT THROUGH DERIVATIONS AND INTEGRATIONS, UNDERWENT A LOT OF EQUATIONS AND ARRIVED AT A SOLUTION.. Let their noses bleed.. nyahahha..

And, I would probably go to sleep, unwind, indulge myself in vices, alcohol alcohol alcohol, beer beer beer.. hahahaha..

So, happy birthday to me.. I'm 32!!!! ew..

12.09.2008

Dear Santa

It's still early as we're still 16 days away from Christmas..
But, I would want you to know that I have my wishlist too, *wink*.. hahaha..
I'm not really ultimately good but I think I had been behaving well the whole year round.. I guess.. hahaha..
So here are a few stuff that would make me really happy when I get to have 'em for Christmas..
  • I have been eyeing this Mickey Mouse mp3 player, with 2 gigabyte memory.. I want the blue one.. But nevertheless, would be so happy even if you decide to give me a red one.. Here's the site from multiply that I thought you should see for you to know what I'm talking about.. http://brusselsprouts.multiply.com/photos/album/83/CUTE_MICKEY_MP3_PLAYERS_
  • Mid this year, I wanted a laptop.. It can really help me with the stuff I'm doing, you know, work.. and some, itty bitty sidelines.. hehehe.. I really plan to have one, but, if you think I deserve to have a laptop for Christmas, can you please make it sure that the processor is Quad Pro something, 2GB ram, 1MB memory.. Or even if it's just enough for an Autocad to run, that would be fine.. *grin*..
  • I also wanted to receive a digital camera.. *grins*.. An 8.1 Megapixel Black Sony Cyber-shot W150 Digital Camera DSC-W150/B is perfectly fine with me.. It can be found at this site, http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=16200
  • If it ain't too much, Santa, maybe you can include a 5.0 Megapixel Camera Phone, a Sony Ericsson K850 Cyber-shot Phone Blue, found at http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=16203
  • Also, my kids wanted to have their own game console.. Can you please give them a Sony PSP?? hehehehe..
Oh And Santa, please don't forget to put my dad in your sack.. By all means, I'd gladly trade all of those material thingies for my dad..
Love, Agnes

Turning 32..

So, I'm going to be 32, officially, in a couple of days..
I'm counting down.. funny..
When most people are scared of being "lagpas sa kalendaryo", I, on the other hand, don't mind it at all..
Being 32 isn't that scary naman as what people say it is..
Okay, maybe, I'm just one of the few lucky people who don't give much thought about getting into the "mid life crisis"..
What the heck, anyway..

First and foremost, I kinda think I'm living life the way I am supposed to live it..
I have 3 beautiful children.. They're growing up really fast and although I can't catch up, still, I am trying to minus my age and double up the fun..
Maybe, the deprived childhood that I had is slowly being compensated now..

Secondly, maybe married life isn't that bad at all..
Yes, we do have fights, mostly financial, and at times, I would give it a thinking on why I got married in the first place..
But, as it is, other married couples may have experienced the same, in the first place..
And, it's not as though you're gonna be in the same situation everyday..
So, what I do, is just to put myself into dreaming of happy thoughts, maybe, that's just the way it is..

Thirdly, career-wise, it's better..
I get more, spend more, although I still consider what I earn as not really enough, but nevertheless, I can buy a few more stuff that the family needs..
I used to earn only half of what I earn now, but, life was never that bad..
Now I'm earning more and I would say, it's much better..
I bought a few stuff, necessity of course, and is under the process of getting my house, under the Pag-ibig's housing loan..
Yey! that's one thing that I could say is "well done"..

Well.. My relationship with my siblings became better..
We used to have this problem with my brother, Benny..
Not exactly him, but, his "so-called" wife..
But, things got better after the confrontation, so, all's well that ends well, I hope..

Mom is just the same..
Supportive but just couldn't stop herself from making sarcasms..
That's the way moms are supposed to be, I guess..

Just the way they are packaged, unique and special..

So, currently, things are running smoothly..
and I'm kinda proud to say that I learned a lot in life..
Sometimes, the hard way..
Being the positive person that I am, I'm sure, it's not going to hinder me from moving on..
and who knows, things will get much better in a couple of years..

and so.. I'm turning 32 in a couple of days..
Nothing to worry about..
32 isn't really a big "hindrance" at all..
The laugh lines, the wrinkles, they don't even matter..

and to what I always say to people who asks of my age..
"Age is just a mathematical expression created by man.. coming from derivations and/or integrations and other mathematical computations.. I for one, don't know if these computations are exact.."
hahahaha.. Nosebleed, Dave said..

and so.. I'm turning 32, officially..
and, I still miss dad.. *sigh*..

Migraine.. It's a killer!

I’m having migraines again.. For 4 consecutive days already..
Only to find out that 10 to 15% of the people who have migraines can see auras, 15 to 30 minutes prior the attack of a severe headache which lasts for 4 to 72 hours.. *sigh*..
Curious as I am, I searched the web for the causes of migraines..
Here are the list of the possible causes of migraines:
  • Caffeine - I am taking 3 cups of coffee daily, 1 after lunch and another cup at 3:00 pm.. That’s my usual dosage of coffee.. When I browsed through the medical sites, the doctors wrote on their pages that caffeine causes vasospasm, the squeezing down of arteries.. Too bad, I have to stop taking coffee and sodas in the meantime.. Uh Oh.. will I be able to achieve that? Tempting..
  • Monosodium Glutamate - in every Filipino household, we make it a point to add a little of this “tak tak tak” ingredient to make the viand all the more tasty.. I had always thought that MSGs are causes to baldness of a person, yet, I didn’t know that there are other effects of too much MSGs.. One of which includes migraines.. So, instead of MSGs, we might have to resort to sugar instead..
  • Sleep - lack of sleep causes migraines also.. Although, I am sure I had been taking a very good night’s sleep everyday.. Except I have to wake up in between to prepare my son’s nightly milk formula.. I wonder if waking up so early is a cause of migraines too?
  • Menstrual Periods - ok.. This might be a cause.. Since, I had been obserbing my migraine attacks and it comes close to my menstrual period.. Most often, it occurs a week before my monthly cycle.. Since menstruation is associated to depression, depression is a possible cause to migraine attacks also..
So I had been having the “aura” attack first before my head starts to feel the pain.. The aura, as I had observed is a bright light, zigzag and moves to the edge from the center of the eye.. After the aura disappears, my head begins to feel the unbearable pain..
I often know that I’m going to have a migraine attack upon the observation of the “aura” appearing on my sight.. The disappearance of a certain part of your vision is a common effect when the aura appears..
I hate migraines.. It leaves me immobile.. No matter how hard you try to move and finish off what you are working at the moment, you can’t concentrate because the pain is too unbearable and you just want to sleep it off..
Luckily enough, when I have migraine attacks, I don’t vomit like the others.. But, still, I’m in the unique 10 to 15% who has a vision of the “aura” just before the pain starts to attack..
So, anyway, once the attack starts, make sure, you stop what you are doing.. Close your eyes and rest it.. Take a pain reliever.. Sleep it off if you can.. If it gets too constant, consult a doctor..
That’s what I’m gonna do.. *smiles*

Jingum Bells..

“Jingum bells, Jingum bells

Jingum all the way..

Oh, what’s fine it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh..

Hey!!“

Naku, it’s 30 days away and it’s going to be Christmas! yipee!!

Whoever says that they can’t feel the spirit is numb..

Ewan ko ba..

Kung di ka pa nakakadama na excitement sa holiday break tuwing naririnig mo ang Christmas songs sa mall everytime you go there, aba, manhid ka nga..

Our little neighbors nga are starting their traditional pieces already, singingng na “Jingum bells”..

nakakatuwa nga naman talaga when you see little children avidly walking down the village, counting their earning after singing and practicing their next piece with their pharaphernalias, stones, sticks, bottle caps and the likes..

and ending the song with “Thank you, Thank you and babarat ninyo“, for the people who gives less..

Sometimes nga, it’s nice to go back to your childhood e..

Yun bang, di ka over stressed from work, yung babagsak ka na lang sa bed and skipping dinner because you’re too tired from work..

Yun bang, di puro finances ang pinoproblema mo, kung hindi, how you’re goingng home from school, will it be na maglalaroka ng game console or just spend the entire afternoon with friends chatting and playing games..

Tapos pa, when you see lights at night, in different houses, you get really amazed by the beauty and joy they bring..

and the only thing you’re worried about is Santa Claus, that he couldn’t have forgetten to include you in his list since you had been good all year round..

And, the handful of gifts from friends, relatives and ninong ang ninangs and the thought of just opening them all and what’s in it..

Well, going back to reality, let me wish my friends an early greeting..

Merry Christmas!

Conquered the Beach - twice

We went to the beach! Yep, we did..
It was a pre-birthday celebration, yet, the celebrant was stranded in Manila due to his friends' visit and a post-birthday celebration with the celebrant..
Here are pictures..

The children and their try at the sand castle..

Groupie.. Yuppies.. *wink*

The single lady with the lovebirds, newlyweds, of course..

The food, extra yummy..

The kids tried out the floating device, improvised interior.. *geez*..

and the puppies, in love..

So, that was the pre-birthday beach party.. Here are pictures of the post birthday party..

One fine day..

The celebrant and his wife..

The food that was set on the table, cooked to the limit, not charred..

I, super duper, love my baby to the max.. Do we look alike??

Mariposa and Luningning (??).. I'm not sure if I got it right..

Hmm.. I forgot the baby's name, actually.. Too bad.. but the parents, Dennis and Bam2x, I remembered.. *wink*

Labo Labo.. grabbing the ball and throwing it at someone.. "It", the one who's hit..
Later, they lost the ball.. *sigh*..

Turn overs, to the other team..

Pakwan, woohoo!! hmm.. it's hidden somewhere.. *ouch*

The hidden treasure.. *yipes*!

My Youngest son

Would you believe that the children are more advanced now??
heehee

My twin sons' birthday

It's the birthday of my twin sons, Kean and Khyle..

I didn't plan on any party this year..
First and foremost, we're short of cash, then, I am taking my medications to lower down my T3, T4 and TSH count..
Nevertheless, both my hubby and I planned to bring the kids to church, light a candle, and eat dinner somewhere..

But I didn't left out the cake, of course..

So, I left the office at 4PM.. Went to Victoria Plaza and bought a cake at Goldilocks..
Went to mom's and took a few shots of the twins..
I came from work, so, it means to say that the bad pictures I took is an excuse from being stressed out at work..

6.20.2007

On Leave

I finally got the chance to apply my passport!
Including 4 new ones for my hubby and three kids..
I was really shaking with fear for my requirements..
and was really tired with all the to and fro activities..
photocopy, call hubby, did some erasures, drove to my children's school to get their fingerprints, went to mom's to get my youngest kid's fingerprints, went to hubby's school to get his signature..
and.. disappointing as it is, my hubby had to sneak out of office just to present himself at DFA..

Luckily, my hubby was done doing his payment before 11:30 AM..
and that was when I knew that DFA has a break time from 11:30 AM till 1:00 PM..

But prior the filing of the application with DFA, I went with my little bro to LTO to apply for his student license..'

6.18.2007

a great weekend

I went to 2 birthday celebrations over the weekend..

The first one was my godson's birthday, Prince Nikolai Latoza..
Time flies really fast, you know..
He's 3 now.. and very active for his age..

I greeted him early, at around 6:00 am..
and later received a reply from his dad that Prince was asking for an ice cream..
And, to give an impression of a good godmother, I gave him a galloon of Double Dutch ice cream..

Later that day, I texted his dad, Eduard, that I won't be able to go to the party since the weather was all bad.. It was raining and the sky was gloomy..
He, then, convinced me to go for just a while..

and, so, I finally gave in, since I couldn't find any other reason to beg off..

Here are pictures I took of him..

This is Prince's backdrop.. Honestly, we were teasing his dad about it..
Why on earth did they choose a pink hello kitty design?
They must have forgotten that the celebrant is a boy??
err.. *knock* *knock*..

This is Prince..
I took this picture while he was running with his playmates..
They're carrying several balloons which later exploded..

This is another picture of Prince..
This time, I called him to pose in front of the camera..
He was later following my back, he wants more picture, could you believe?
But I didn't give in since the food was tempting.. *heehee*..

These are the 3 badketeers..
They were teasing me the whole afternoon, while eating..
and that, they just finished one of their project "chair" for me..
GRR!
It's just pure luck that the food they ate didn't come out of their mouth..

I left the party at 5:00 PM..
talking of a party pooper..
but in the end, I was still glad that I went to see Prince..

Yesterday, Sunday, was my father-in-law's birthday..
I received a text from my sister-in-law asking for funds for the cake..
Since I was short of cash, with lots of bad debts, I was saddened since I wasn't able to shell out any..
Nevertheless, we were at papa's house the whole day..
Hubby was busy preparing the food, cooking and running errands..
Papa turned 77 yesterday and running..
Hopefully, God would bless him more wonderful years..

This was after the preparation..
They finished setting up everything including the magic sing and went on to waiting for the birthday boy to arrive from the mass..

The birthday boy, super young at 77..

The food, yummy.. Yes, it was really good..
I had concentrated on the famous chicken curry of my sister-in-law..
I couldn't help it, I'm always craving for her curry..

The cake from Boulangerie, if my spelling is right..
It was sheer luck that father's day and papa's birthday fall on the same day..

Papa, saying a silent prayer and his wishes on his birthday..

Diggin' in..

Catching up and slight business talk..

After dinner, it's siesta time..
Sang 'til he dropped, with El Hombre Tequila!

and he grabbed the mic from my hubby..
This is kuya, my hubby's elder half brother..

While waiting for their turn..

Papa's visitors..

My baby scanning the song book..
Hmm.. He might end up being a singer soon.. hehehe..

Sneaking a bite on Papa's cake..
Actually, they're just shy to let everyone see that they're big eaters..

The twins while waiting, killing the time, before going home..

My sister-in-law's pets..
The white one is milky while the other one is Sakura..
I wonder where they got those names..
Odd..

And so, we left Papa's house a little past 9 PM..
Not satisfied, we had to go home since the kids has school the next day..

Anyway..
I took several shots, out of the blue..

This is a really odd tree..
It's all covered up with leaves..
and, would look lovely when trimmed..
You can find this tree at Gaisano Mall's Parking Area..

This is the area where I'm working..
The box plant..
I have yet to take a picture of the plastic plant, my concentration..

and being one with DENR, we have the "Beat the Heat" banner..
